Biden Attacks Trump Over Social Security Cuts in First Post-White House Speech

In the first major public address after his presidency, Joe Biden severely attacked the Trump (Biden attacks trumps) administration’s policy towards Social Security. At a disability rights event in Chicago, Biden charged the present administration with committing “a breathtaking destruction” on welfare programs which, above everything else for more than 67 million Americans, included the Social Security system.

Although he didn’t name Donald Trump directly, Biden slammed the administration’s cost-cutting schemes under Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency. Such would include 7,000 job cuts- roughly a 10% decrease in the Social Security Agency’s workers. He rebuffed what he referred to as a “sacred promise” involving Social Security and its significance for American lives concerning seniors and people with disabilities.

However, the Representatives of Trump’s administration counter claimed that these cutbacks would prevent fraud and wastage but not reduce actual entitlements. Trump signed an executive order on the prevention of Social Security power for illegal immigrants and other ineligible beneficiaries.

Former President Obama, also criticized the administration for freezing $2 billion in federal funding at Harvard University.

This is apparently the first public speech for Biden on the political stage; he didn’t go into matters concerning his political future or the 2024 election.
