According to the BBC, China warns nations against caving in to the US in trade negotiations over President Trump’s tariffs.
The comments were made by a Chinese commerce ministry official in response to reports that Washington plans to persuade governments to restrict trade with Beijing in return for exemptions from US import taxes.
According to the BBC, the Trump administration has started discussing tariffs with trading partners. A Japanese delegation visited Washington last week, and South Korea is scheduled to start talks this week.
Trump has levied high tariffs on Chinese goods since he returned to the White House in January, and other nations have also had to pay levies on their exports.
